Coordinator of Family Support (San Antonio) (AVANCE)
The major responsibilities for this position will be to manage: 1) the operations of the Family Support Services component; 2) case management based delivery of services to children and families in the Early Head Start/ Program through referral, advocacy, and brokering; 3) staff performance in accordance with Early Head Start (EHS) Performance Standards and Employee Handbook, and 4) collaboration with community partners in order to provide the highest level of services to children and families, foster the development of a continuum of family centered services, and advocate for a community that shares responsibility for the healthy development of children and families.
Experience: Required:Minimum of three years experience working with a EHS Program; knowledgeable of the Performance Standards and Texas Licensing Standards. Child Development Teacher (Early Head Start)
This position is responsible for working with infants and toddlers utilizing specialized knowledge and skills in order to properly address the physical, cognitive, social and emotional developmental needs of children.

Cook (San Antonio) (Early Head Start)
This position is responsible for providing nutritious meals and snacks for children enrolled and who attend special events. This service must provide opportunities for the development of positive attitudes toward healthy foods; for decision-making, sharing, communicating with others; and for the development of muscle control and eye-hand coordination. The food provided should also emphasize appropriate eating patterns and mealtime behavior when children observe adult behavior at family style meals.
Experience: Required: One year experience in commercial kitchen or in a public school cafeteria as a cook. Preferred: Three + years in commercial kitchen or in a public school cafeteria as a cook.
Required Education: High School Diploma or GED; Must have a Food Handler Certificate.

This position is responsible for providing childcare services for children and monitoring and ensuring the safety of the children while on board the bus, exiting the bus and to their destination point. Provide guidance, training, mentoring, and support to assigned staff and monitor the quality of early childhood education and development services that are provided to toddlers, pregnant women, and their families.
Experience: Required: Four (4) years experience in early childhood education and development services. Work experience may be substituted by advanced training in Early Childhood Development or related fields.Preferred: Four (4) years experience in a early childhood program serving toddlers, or supervising and managing early childhood education and development programs for toddlers.
