Thank you for your support of AVANCE - San Antonio and the 2023 Mother of the Year Luncheon!

This celebratory event raises funds for AVANCE – San Antonio programs in the San Antonio and Uvalde regions. The programs we offer are intended to help families emerge from the cycle of poverty. We do this through a dual generation approach in our Parent-Child Education (PCEP), Caminos al Futuro (Caminos) workforce development and career readiness, Early Head Start and Head Start programs.

98% of our families are considered low income households and over 70% speak Spanish as the primary language at home. These two factors combined can create barriers to success in education and economic mobility, making it difficult to pursue a more stable path beyond high school. Together, with your support, the commitment of our families, and the hard work of AVANCE program staff, we can help change the trajectory for our community.

There are three ways to support our event today:

Make a contribution! These funds will provide direct support to our extensive programs and services. You may donate here or email Carisa Heiss to confirm where to send your check.

Buy a raffle ticket! There are flags on your table that will help you wave down a member of our team who can process payment and enter you in the raffle of your choice. We have five exciting packages to choose from, or purchase an entry for each package and increase your chances of winning! Raffle tickets are $25 each or five for $100.

Shop the Mercado de Mama! The fabulous vendors listed below are donating a portion of all sales today to AVANCE - San Antonio! Talk about a win-win-win. Finish your Mother's Day shopping while supporting a great cause and a fabulous local vendor! Each image has a clickable link to the vendor's website so you may continue to shop after the event.
